Hi! Welcome to my first home page. My name is Dan and I am almost sixteen years old. I go to Colonie Central High School, in Albany, New York. My hobbies include baseball, basketball, and chillen with my friends. Also, I enjoy relaxing on my bed and listening to some tunes. "Why do you listen to that garbage. All 'rap' is | just an ex-con trying to make a living while he sings off key and thinks he's cool when he uses vulgar language such as f*** and ni**er." The artists presently in the Hip-Hop/Rap business have been through some very tough times. For example, the battle of the east coast rappers and the west coast rappers has been going on for years. We have lost many of our favorite artists in this so-called rivalry. Biggie, TuPac, the list goes on. The artists today target their lyrics towards the younger generation. They use terms the older generation can't even pronounce. And they still think they can tell us what music is? I don't think so. It's not about how it sounds, but the meaning of the lyrics that that I fell in love with. It just makes you realize life is short, and you should enjoy it while you can. The next time your grandparents say, "That sounds like trash." Simply remark, "It's not how it sounds, but the meaning behind it that matters."
